Our Mission
The Sons of the American Revolution honors our Revolutionary War patriot ancestors by promoting patriotism, serving our communities and educating and inspiring future generations about the founding principles of our country.
Our Community Initiatives
Our members stay actively involved in Charlotte County through several key programs:
- America 250 History Walk: Our latest initiative located at William R. Gaines, Jr. Veterans Park.
- Color Guard: Regular participation in local parades, memorials, and patriotic demonstrations.
- Youth & Education: Active engagement with local JROTC units and various educational initiatives.
Who We Are
The Charlotte Chapter of the Florida Society was established on April, 27, 1976. For 50 years our chapter has actively contributed to our community partnering with other groups including our sisters in the Daughters of the American Revolution and our local Children of the American Revolution chapter.
The Sons of the American Revolution is a non-political, patriotic, educational 501c3 organization of men who have ancestors who fought for, or otherwise supported the War for Independence from Great Britain that established the United States of America.
As men, fathers and grandfathers, our duty is to pass down our family legacy and the values of being a citizen of this great county.
