Revolutionary War History Walk

An Outdoor Educational Experience

From May 1, 2026, through Veterans Day (November 11, 2026), visitors are invited to explore a
unique outdoor exhibit that brings the story of the American Revolution to life. The exhibit was created and sponsored by the Charlotte Chapter of the Florida Society and is on display at the William R. Gaines Jr. Veterans Memorial Park, 20499 Edgewater Drive, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.

This 16-panel History Walk guides you through the defining events, people, and ideas that shaped the founding of the United States.
      • The causes of the Revolution and the road to independence
      • Key battles and turning points
      • The role of ordinary citizens, soldiers, and leaders
      • The global impact of America’s fight for freedom
      • The lasting legacy of the Revolutionary War
